Will ne table erstellen, und bekomme hier exception:

void __fastcall TForm1::Button1Click(TObject *Sender)
{
const char* dir = "c:\\DB_TEST";
try
{
CreateDirectory(dir,0);
Session->AddStandardAlias("testbase",dir,"PARADOX");
Session->SaveConfigFile();
}
catch(...)
{
ShowMessage("ERROR creating Alias");
return;
}

bei AddStandardAlias....Name ist nicht eindeutig...was bedeutet das?

Du erzeugst so einen ALIAS. Eine Tabelle kannst Du dann mit CREATE TABLE... erzeugen.

Habe auch andere Namen probiert, der Gehler kommt immer!

[EDIT]: Mit TSession::GetAliasNames(...) kann man die existierenden Aliase auslesen. Das SaveConfigFile scheint nicht nötig zu sein. Auch ohne den Aufruf stand der ALIAS anschliessend in der BDE.

War einfach eine unaufmerksamkeit von mir, weil ich das programm vor immer schonmal für einen testlaufs eines anderen teils gestartet habe, und somit der alias eingetragen wurde.... 🙄
