Die C++ Standardbibliothek ist recht "schlank". Aber mit boost kann man schon sehr viel zusätzlich erschlagen.

In der Regel wirst du hier zusätliche Bibliotheken verwenden, z.B. gtk für die Oberfläche oder tinyxml für's XML parsen, dann gehst du auf die Homepage von derjenigen Bibliothek und ziehst dir die Doku rein. Die meisten Bibliotheken sind recht gut dokumentiert (besonders boost).
