<![CDATA[Maximale größe eines arrays?]]>Hallo,

ich verwende folgendes array:

long usage[days][timeunits];

wie groß darf timeunits maximal werden?
bei 1440 und 8640 habe ich noch keine Problem, bei 86400 verursacht das Prog einen Fehler und wird beendet!

Ich denke nicht, dass solche Werte von der Implemantation des Compilers abhängig sind; vielmehr kommt es auf die gegebenen Ressourcen an und auf die Tatsache, dass das OS de-facto nicht alle Ressourcen freigibt.

Reservier dir mal den Speicher über new, dann hast du dein ganzes RAM zur Verfügung. Der Stack ist meistens nur ein paar MB klein.

Oder benutze gleich std::vector. Das benutzt intern new und erledigt alles für dich.

Bei manchen Compilern kann man doch bestimmen wie groß der Stack sein soll,
oder irre ich mich da? Mein kurze suche brachte für den gcc folgendes zutage:

-melinux-stacksize=n
Only available with the cris-axis-aout target. Arranges for indi-
cations in the program to the kernel loader that the stack of the
program should be set to n bytes.
