wie kann ich in einem Dialog eine Datei mit der Endung ico (ICON), darstellen. Hat jemand eine Idee.

Dann kannst du in der Tat das PictureControl nehmen (bzw. CStatic). Hast du denn auch in der OnInitDialog bzw in der Resource die zu ladende Datei angegeben?

In Windows wird immer nur in WM_PAINT Handler der einzelnen Fenster gezeichnet. "Man" zeichnet nicht einfach so, sondern hat COntrols, die sich selbst zeichnen!
