Ich benutze Visual Studio 6 und Windows XP. Da ist eine WMICore.exe. Wenn ich aber versuche sie zu installieren wird mir gesagt das sie nur für WinNT gedacht ist.

In Deinem Beispiel bin ich steckengeblieben woher CString kommt. Siehe dieser Thread:
