Obwohl bei meinem socket programm alles funktioniert gibt es 8 zurück.
was bedeutet das oder welche ursachen kann es haben?

Sofern der Rückgabewert der Winsock-Funktionen nichts böses meldet, brauchst du WSAGetLastError() nicht aufrufen.
