Flex & Bison: Inwiefern mit closed source verträglich

Hi

in der Software meiner Firma muss ich flex und bison verwenden, um sehr spezielle Config Files zu lesen.

Ich fing an, alle Abhängigkeiten auf Unverträglichkeit zu Closed Source zu testen. Bis jetzt habe ich nur LGPL, MIT und BSD Lizenzen gesehen. Das ist kein Problem, ich linke nur gegen sie und diese Bibliotheken sind in jedem Linux vorhanden.

Bei Flex und Bison bin ich aber nicht mehr so sicher. Wenn ich das richtig verstanden habe, steht Flex unter BSD-like Lizenz und der Output sogar ohne Lizenz, was mir erlaubt, alles zu machen was ich will. Bison steht aber unter der GPL, auch der Output. Aber da ist noch folgendes drauf:

Leider finde ich bei google entweder veraltete oder gar widersprüchliche Aussagen diesbzgl. In der Doku steht sogar

This exception applies when Bison is generating code for a parser. You can tell whether the exception applies to a Bison output file by inspecting the file for text beginning with “As a special exception...”. The text spells out the exact terms of the exception.

Hmm, also darf ich das doch in Closed Source verwenden?

Ich kann Englisch, aber ich stoße sehr schnell an meinen Grenzen, wenn ich dieses Jura-Englisch selber interpretieren muss. Hat jemand schon Erfahrungen damit gemacht?
