Was spricht denn bitte gegen ASSIMP?
Das es "zuviele" Formate unterstützt?
Das es "zuviele" Features hat?
Das man damit schon sinnvoll geordnete Daten bekommt, statt eine char-Array?

Und dann der Wahnsinnstipp: "Selber schreiben"

Jetzt möchte ich aber eine realistische Schätzung von dir hören, wie viel Zeit du für eine vernünftige implementierung dafür brauchst! Man kann auch einfach eine Bibliothek benutzen, es muss nicht jeder alles nochmal erdenken, schreiben und debuggen.
