naja also ist das hier ja ein programmierforum aber ich frag trotzdem mal hier:

also ich wollte knoppix gleich auf der festplatte speichern, damit ich gleich richtig damit arbeiten kann, die installation hat auch wunderbar geklappt, zudem wurde mir noch gesagt, dass keinerlei fehler aufgetreten seien.
Nun zu meinem problem, bei der installation erkannte er meine ehemaligen, von suse genutzten partitionen(swap & ext3) und überschrieb sie dann.
nach der installation startete der grub loader und startete knoppix nur trat dabei, noch bevor er knoppix starten konnte folgender fehler auf:
"kernel panic-not syncing: VFS: Unable to mount root fs on unknown-block(3,10)"
jemand ne ahnnung was das sein kann und wie ich den fehler beheben kann?
bin für jede hilfe dankbar

Könnte es sein, dass das Dateisystem kaputt ist?

Leg das mal frisch an und probier dann weiter.

oops naja wollte schnell posten, hatte net viel zeit, weil ichs schnell an dem schulrechner in der 5min pause gemacht hab also verzeiht mir;)
ne also ich hab es einmal mit einer aus dem internet geladenen image versucht und dann nochmal mit einer von einer heftcd und mit beiden mehrfach versucht
naja noch eine idee???

danach aber ich immer so viel platz wie möglich auf der platte freigemacht und den unpartitionierten bereich neu formatiert, aber es tat isch nichts!!!:(

hmm es gibt keine datei unter /boot/grub/ die grub.cfg heißt folgende dateien hätt ich im angebot;) :
