Macbeth (un)Verständnis!

ich verstehe hier was aus Macbeth nicht, vielleicht kann mir ja jemand helfen:
"Faith, here's an equivocator that could swear in both the scales against either scale"Ich meine, dass es in aktuellem Englisch sowas heißen müsste:
"Jesus, there's an equivocator. No matter with whom he sides, he can harm the opponent." Aber ich bin mir total unsicher
Weiß jemand was Shakespeare da oben genau meint?
