Ich finde die Sendung Numb3rs ja sowas von unglaublich cool!!
Beispiel:
1. Jemand strüzt sich von ner Brücke.
2. Die Mathematiker-Schmalzlocke kommt zufällig vorbei.
3. Die Mathematiker-Schmalzlocke jongliert mit Zahlen.
4. Die Mathematiker-Schmalzlocke errechnet, ob es sich um Suizid oder Mord handelt und ob das Opfer ggf. schon tot war, als er von der Brücke geworfen wurde.

Und wie hat er das errechnet?
1. Durch die Entfernung von einer Senkrechten auf den Boden zur Brücke.

Er ist 40 cm zu Weit entfernt aufgeschlagen, das ist für Suizid untypisch...
Der Wind, der ihn von der Brücke weggedrückt hat, wurde dabei natürlich mit eingerechnet. (der Wind, in diesem Moment natürlich!!).

Stimmt. In der Folge hat er den Beweis errechnet, dass es kein Selbstmord war.
Tja, war dann aber zum Schluss doch Suizid.

Hab ich auch zufällig mal reingeschaltet. Ich fands putzig, dass er in einer Nacht eine Strömungs-Simulation für einen kompletten Wolkenkratzer geschrieben hat...
