ulimit - max locked memory = 64, wann sollte man das ändern?
-
WARNING: Your system has a limit for maximum amount of locked memory!
This might cause Ardour to run out of memory before your system runs
out of memory. You can view the memory limit with 'ulimit -l', and it
is normally controlled by /etc/security/limits.conf
...
Core 2 Duo
64 Bit Linux OS
8 GB RAM

Locking pages into memory may degrade the performance of the system by reducing the available RAM and forcing the system to swap out other critical pages to the paging file. Each version of Windows has a limit on the maximum number of pages a process can lock. This limit is intentionally small to avoid severe performance degradation.
