Open-source projects in Zürich?

Hallo! Do anybody knows, is it here, somewhere in Zürich, communities, or groups working on open C++ projects, where anybody can come and join, on free time?

People rarely meet in person to code. OSS projects are worldwide collaborations (though often with certain regional biases depending on the project).
Large communities will sometimes host events: https://foss.events/
Those are large, professional, international conferences though, you are unlikely (but not impossible) to meet a fellow contributor from your neighborhood whom you can invite for burgers and beer at your house next weekend.

Some big open source projects sometimes meet in person to work on a specific topic ("sprint"). For instance the kde community has some sprints: https://community.kde.org/Sprints#Upcoming_Sprints
But that's not a weekly event and most of the work will happen remote and async. So people meet at such sprints, who are already involved in the project.
There are also some communities like the Chaos Computer Club (https://www.ccczh.ch/), who meet regularly and are open for everyone. But they won't all work one one project and it might not be C++ after all. But if you bring your own project with you, you might find someone who is able to help you or interested in your project! Or the other way round, you might find one or multiple people working on an interesting project, where you could join.
And the last thing that comes in my mind is a C ++ user group (like https://www.meetup.com/zurich-c-meetup/?_cookie-check=QGx76sP04ILhrrSe). Again they won't work all one one big open source project. But you will meet people with C++ Knowledge and can have some fun there.
So nothing which fully meets your requirements I know of, but perhaps a start depending on what exactly you want to achieve. If it's really about working on an OSS project, then do it online! It's fun too and there will be conferences for big projects, which you can attend to meet people in real life.
